Model Predictive Control Strategy of Multi-Port Interline DC Power Flow Controller

There are issues with flexible DC transmission system such as a lack of control freedom over power flow. In order to tackle these issues, flow controller (DCPFC) is incorporated into multi-terminal, grid. recent years, multi-port based on modular multi-level converter has become focal point research due its simple structure and robust scalability. This work proposes model predictive (MPC) strategy for interline controllers in improve their steady-state dynamic performance. Initially, the mathematical multi-terminal grid developed, relationship between each regulated variable determined; The then discretized, cost function weight factor built numerous objectives. Sub module sorting method nearest level approximation modulation regulate controller; Lastly, MATLAB/Simulink simulation platform used verify correctness established performance suggested MPC strategy. Finally, it demonstrated that possesses benefits performance, multi-objective control, structure.
